North Middle Winter Concert Series

North Middle School will host a Winter Concert Series during the week of Dec. 9. Performances will take place on Monday, Dec. 9, and Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Daniel J. Tomaselli Auditorium, 77 Polo Road. The concerts are free and the public is invited to attend.

Winter Concert 1

The first concert of the series on Dec. 9 will feature the Grade 6 Band, Chorus, and Orchestra.

The Orchestra will perform “Bach Fest,” “My Favorite Things,” and “Burst!”

The Chorus will perform “Candy-Covered Gingerbread House,” “Freedom’s Flame,” “Bells Are Ringing, Now,” and “That Time of Year.”

The Band will perform “The Tempest,” “Chanson de Noel,” and “The Eye of the Tiger.” 

The Grade 6 Chorus is under the direction of Arielle Murdocco. The Grade 6 Band and Orchestra are under the direction of Anthony Virgilio.

Winter Concert 2

The second concert of the series on Dec. 11 will feature the Grade 7-8 Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. 

The Orchestra will perform “A Festival of Lights” and “Winter Solstice.” The Chorus will then join the Orchestra for a performance of “Christmas Canon.”

The Chorus will perform “Celebrate, It’s Hanukkah” and “Aurora Borealis.” 

The Band will perform “African Bell Carol” and “Happy X-Mas (War is Over).” The Chorus will then join the Band for a performance of “Run, Run, Rudolph.”

The Concert will conclude with the annual North Middle winter finale, “On With the Snow.” North Middle choral and instrumental alumni are encouraged to attend the concert and join in the finale.

The Grade 7-8 Chorus is under the direction of Arielle Murdocco. The Grade 7-8 Band and Orchestra are under the direction of Matt Trinkwald.
