Baker Students Create Tokens of Appreciation

Three members of the cafetria staff at Baker receive 3D keychains from a first grader as a token of appreciation.

First graders at E.M. Baker School used their technology skills and the design process to create tokens of appreciation for staff who are integral to the school’s day-to-day operations. With support from technology teacher Lisa Malfi, students in Valerie Williams’ first-grade class worked together to sketch designs, build prototypes, and create keychains using the school’s 3-D printers. Students delivered the keychains along with personalized thank you cards to Baker’s main office staff, kitchen staff, custodial staff, the nurse’s office, and paraprofessionals who work with their class.
