Kindness & Spirit on Display at JFK

A class of students stand at their socially distanced desks while wearing pajamas on a pajama-themed spirit day

During the week of Feb. 22-29,  the John F. Kennedy School celebrated and recognized Random Acts of Kindness Week by combining it with a theme-based School Spirit Week. Students and staff dressed up each day and were given kindness challenges along the way.

Spirit activities included wearing a favorite team jersey, JFK spirit wear, neon colors, and the always popular pajama day – there was a buzz of excitement in the air! Students participated in kindness activities, such as contributing to the Town of North Hempstead’s “Reflections and Messages of Hope” quilt activity, creating thank you notes, and completing a kindness journal activity.

These activities reminded students that kindness matters not just today, but every day!
