Worth Noting/Fun Facts:
- Outdoor fun all four seasons – but especially during winter --- ski season is huge! Sugarloaf Mountain is less than an hour away.
- Financial aid at Colby is need-based and the college has eliminated student loans from all financial aid packages.
- Invented the January “term” – students are required to take three January term plans ranging from a wide variety of options such as: studying abroad, internships, and classes. Jan Plan term: extensive study-abroad opportunities, and graduate-level research experiences are pillars of the Colby education. In both the classroom and the field, students work closely with professors—a collaboration that is transformational for both and often results in lifelong connections.
