Strongest Academic Programs: Psychology, Physical and Biological Sciences , Economics. All students are required to have a minor that is not related to their major. You can also design your own major if the majors/minors don’t meet your interests and goals.
Campus Life:  Greek Life draws 28% of the men and 32% of the women but you don’t have to join to have a good social life.  In addition to Division III sports, Allegheny boasts 80 intramural sports teams and club sports as well.  The creative art are strong as well and there are over 100 student organization to join.  Over 81% of students participate in community service by the time they graduate.

Worth Noting/Fun Facts: The 13th Plank tradition is somewhat suspect because it never really occurs.  All freshmen women are supposed to be kissed on the 13th plank of the campus bridge by an upperclassman but every year, the freshmen men, steal the plank to prevent it from happening.  One of the dorm rooms is considered haunted and has been closed off  because of eerie “problems.”
